When the last A.F. Vandervost collection was unveiled as part of Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, a usually skeptical and hard to impress fashion press were taken away. The pieces are creative and dark as well as being demonstrative of a brilliant vision. Centering on the traditional dress, this simple piece was displayed in all of its various forms– short, midi, long and full length, ruffled, straight and printed. Corsetry and dark tones (grey, black) and muted prints added French flair and the use of premium fabrics only added to the desirability of the whole collection. There is no denying, we’re up for a very interesting winter ahead.
