The interior of the Lycée Charlemagne was turned into one big playground for ACNE Studio’s Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The label’s co-founder and creative director, Jonny Johansson, wanted in his own words to “have romance in a show but without the regular runway thing”. That was achieved through a creative game of music chairs where the models would get up from their chairs every time there was a break in the music, rearranging themselves and sitting back down before the music resumed. Now regarding the actual clothes, it seems like ACNE Studios is going with a new direction which embraces the lifestyle of camping. From the oversized tent-like ponchos and the raincoats to the more minimal shorts, shirts and matching Mary Janes, everything seems to be designed for a rather fashionable field trip.
