Art is expensive. To buy a piece of stunning art you need at least a couple thousand pounds lying around spare, no? No. This week in London there is The Affordable Art Fair, which is exactly that, art at an affordable price. Held three times throughout the year, once in Battersea from 25th-28th October 2012, in Hampstead Heath from the 1st-4th of November 2012 and in the new year in Bristol, from 26th – 28th April.
The ideology of the fair is that everyone can afford art and that searching for that piece of perfect art for the living room or kitchen has never been easier, or more affordable. Prices range from £40 – £4,000, which is well within budget compared to the £20,000 plus sums that we are used to seeing attached to the average oil painting.
With more than 100 galleries and artists exhibiting at the fairs, there is undoubtedly something for everyone with ample choice in style, taste and era. All details can be found online at: http://affordableartfair.com/
