The AW14 collection from Camilla Damkjaer is somewhat out of the ordinary. The Denmark based designer has created clothes which play with proportion and size, displaying asymmetric silhouettes which challenge the norm. This aesthetic is at the core of the label and can be clearly seen throughout the collection. That said, what really makes this collection so special is the way each individual garment is entirely different to the others; from an oversized neon purple coat to a cropped yellow pastel jumper. The pieces speak volumes by themselves as each one offers something new. There is seemingly nothing that this designer won’t try, evidenced by a collection which is certainly not short of variety. However everything is brought together by the repeated use of black tape to add a final edge to the clothes.
