Dusty Marjut Uotila is a conceptual brand which combines the avant-garde with more traditional silhouettes found in Scandinavia’s traditional menswear. The collection this season was influenced by three dimensional shapes, “a cushioned cocoon around wearers” as the designer describes it. Uotila has utilised a colour palette of grey, white and black infused with brighter colours such as yellow to a lesser extent to create minimalistic garments inspired by winter’s dark nature. Architectural shapes are also heavily featured in the new collection to anything from the sweaters to the harem pants providing all pieces a certain depth. If you are a fan of knitwear this AW13 collection sure won’t disappoint.
