We all know him and we all love him, Ricardo Tisci, creative director of Givenchy, has just extended his contract for another three years. The Italian designer began his role as creative director back in 2005 and since then has introduced the world renowned label to a countless string of great success. He’s managed to win over a new band of followers as well as forming close knit friendship with Kanye West. Tisci’s former collections show love and appreciation for Americana culture with his use of stars and stripes, but this SS 2013 editorial shot by Keith Au and Desmond Cheung for Hypebeast, brings us all back to beautiful Italian roots. The print for the collection features images of ‘Madonna and Child’, giving it a sense of a serene yet eerie quality. Featured shapes are more elongated and the choice of delicate fabrics such as silk chiffon, duchesse satin, organza and Japanese high density wool add an ethereal beauty to the collection.
