Is it possible to marry streetwear with more formal styles of male dressing? Euphorik, a London based label currently making waves amongst the fashion elite (indeed the label recently received tastemaker of the moment Nik Thakkar’s seal of approval) think so.
Designer-duo Alexander Leimbach and Roman Makuhha have come up with a fresh and modern approach that is part raw and edgy; inspired by the London streets, akin say to the style of Unconditional, part classic fashion; both cut their teeth at Yves Saint Laurent before launching Euphorik.
Whilst maintaining the required level of wearability they have created a collection that possesses a dark and glamorous edge for the man who requires something a little different and very London which they bill as for the new kind of gentleman. The range comprises fine wools and jerseys, viscose, cotton poplin, bamboo silk in a monochrome colour palette of black, white and steely grey given a veneer of urban glamour through cowled hoods and tailoring with a twist.
Featuring classic silhouettes and sharp tailoring with a twist, the duo has successfully reinvented the menswear classics to create something refreshing and modern. Euphorik’s clothing has a darkly playful edge lending the wearer an aura of mystery, an enigma that stands out in the crowd of monotony.
Jackets and trousers are well constructed to ensure a perfect fit, leather collars and detail offer instant rockstar effect whilst over-sized pockets on the trousers are perfect for stuffing your hands in and pulling off a louche swagger. The razor sharp shirts and waistcoats from the line can be used to complete an ultra-smart look. Euphorik’s hooded jersey tops and scoop necked tees and tank tops work for a more laid back casually gothic and androgynous effect that. Top it all off with the brands trenchcoat or throw on your own favourite leather jacket.
