Chasseur were delighted to be part of a select group of press invited to attend Kristian Steinberg’s presentation of his AW14 collection in the lavish surrounds of the Estonian Embassy in London. Inspired by Kristian’s time spent in Rome, and his own desire to create garments that he himself wants to wear, the collection is structural and body contouring, accentuating the male form in its ultimate perfection, an architectural embrace if you will. Steinberg refines and merges the definitions of smart and casual, rendering the two concepts obsolete; he has created clothing that can be either. He offers a distinctly modernist take on the classic male wardrobe, one that is both edgy and classic, in a well executed collection that hits all the right notes. His flowing trousers are particularly significant and welcome as menswear moves away from the skinny, towards a ‘new look’ of looser silhouettes.
