The 2014 A/W lookbook of KYE initiates an arrangement of streetwear that is entirely thought provoking. Glaring whites, sweet blues, blazing reds and of course the ever presence signature hue of black are combined with a bold mix of cable fabrics, metallics and intricate patterns, to create a line that feels quite relaxed despite being very solid, construction-wise. The latter is evident in everything from the sheer tops to the slit skirts and oversized outerwear. Asian influences aside, what is very interesting about the new line is that certain 90’s hip hop vibes are also present, particularly in the slouchy sweaters and tightly fitting bottoms that remind us of R&B stars of way back then.
