Sporty, rebellious and all around bold, the new SS15’ offering by Christopher Shannon not only carries his signature aesthetic but does even more by serving some generation Y realness. Using scrapbooks, random collages and sticker books – all things usually found in a teenager’s bedroom – as a reference point, Shannon created pieces that channel angst youth without feeling generic or un-inspired. Major contributors to this were the eye-catching hand-worked prints and oversized silhouettes, used throughout the collection. These did not only add a fresh touch to the entire range but also made everything from the anoraks to the sweatshirts and shorts, stand out despite their seemingly plain nature.
