The best thing about any fashion week is the entrance to the fold of new or emerging designers who one hopes will breathe new energy into the proceedings. London, like Milan, has of late become too concerned with the conventions of fashion and so it was with great appreciation that we witnessed the LFW collection of Teatum Jones. Aided, not that it was needed, by a full gospel choir, the designer duo showcased a structural collection of ‘post traditional’ womenswear that owed much to Margiela in terms of inspiration. Chic futurism would aptly sum up a sublimely beautiful collection, with show stopping looks that are surely destined for the red carpet.
