Elegance and sophistication. Two concepts strongly associated with Parisian fashion and for a very good reason when you have brands such as Pierre Balmain representing them in the most creative way, line after line. In a recent case of creativity, the French house saw a departure from their trademark tailored outfits, adopting a much more commercial direction for their Spring Summer 14’ collection. Suits and shirts gave their place to skinny blazers, tight jeans, leather bomber jackets, torn out jumpers and vests which despite their obvious casual status, somehow manage to remain chic and edgy. The new line also features a much more minimal colour palette, compared to previous collections, with shades of black and white taking the lead. One can only guess, what’s next.
