Have you ever thought what it feel likes to control the rain? Now, visitors of the Barbican’s Curve Gallery get their chance through a new installation by experimental group of artists Random International. Known for their distinctive approach to digital-based contemporary art, the group created Rain Room, a 100 square meter field of falling water that responds to human sound and movement. Using a high-tech system of cameras and sensors, the ‘rain’ moves so you stay dry but it falls around you. Rain room also hosts monthly performances by choreographer Wayne McGregor. Take a look at the video below for an exclusive peek.
The exhibition is free and will remain open till March 3,2013.
