New is the word that comes to mind when I think of British brand Son Of Wild. New because the label is launching with its first collection for AW13 but on a less obvious note I think new because the pieces are innovative for menswear. I love the innovation of combining streetwear with high-end fashion that runs through the collection with numerous pieces that are both casual and dressy. In the collection one is also treated to the visually beautiful combination of Middle Eastern textile design with vintage fashion. These looks are presented in the form of oxford shirts, graphic t-shirts and dip-dyed sweatshirts created in a colour palette of maroon and indigo along with shades of orange and earth tones. Kudos for a brilliant debut, hopefully they have plenty more surprises in store for us next season.
