Since 2011, and the creative coming together of graphic artist Melvin Tanaya and designer Lyna Ty, Australian label Song For The Mute has gone from strength to strength. The label’s latest lookbook shows a sharp and contemporary vision for autumn/ winter 2015. The one thing that makes Song For The Mute unique is the desire to create pieces from all natural materials. This has led to the constant search for fabrics that are special, and that are able to convey a design philosophy. For AW15, this means creating pieces that look slick and tailored, but without the rigidity that can come with men’s tailoring. Light shirts are worn with cozy flannel outerwear for a contemporary, city feel. This ease, which radiates from the whole makes for one highly desirable collection.
