This season Ssense decided to make a huge exception to this rule as they headed the collaboration of some of the industry’s biggest names in their new Spring’13 campaign. We see rule defying print clashes and daring outfit layering as model Erik Andersson and Amy Groves reach half time on the basketball court in a cobalt blue ‘Opening Ceremony’ denim jacket, metallic studded ‘Marni’ shoes and ankle grazing animal print ‘Kenzo’ pants. Bold, multi-directional art prints grace tank tops, removable sleeve shirts and silk-wool jackets in this unlikely jumble of ecstasy. These exciting combinations are what have helped create one of the strongest Lookbook’s on the “Ssense” online shopping site this season.

This seasons campaign featured some of the most key pieces produced by the likes of Marc Jacobs, Margiela, Kenzo, Versus, Givenchy and many more. The successful collaborations confirm the beauty of the Fashion and Art alliance and the way in which they compliment each other so graciously without stealing the shine from one another. From plum purple lipstick painted on the lips of a pale faced model in a black “Versus” glossy mesh tank top and black patent sandals, the essence of Grunge is most definitely present here, while being toned down with an array of graphic art design in this spread of Spring Lookbook photos.
