In her website, the Berlin-based artist Simone Klimmeck doesn’t bother to give us plenty of information about her curriculum vitae, or her thoughts and ideas. She’d much rather let her work speak for itself and interact with her audience. It looks like fashion photography and street art have very much influenced her artistic practices, as we can see her interest in the different fabrics and textiles, and also the similarities between her drawings and the street art wheat paste technique drawings. She always uses fine black lines and then she paints or collages over them, creating different shapes and patterns. Her theme is most of the times beautiful young women wearing extravagant pieces of clothing with a clear emphasis being given in the eyes. We are eagerly waiting for her next step, which definitely won’t disappoint.
