80’s denim is the star of the show in Topman’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, featuring angsty looking boys sprinkled with piercings and sporting colored or jet black hair. Going for post-mod, the theme of the lookbook is centered around a skatepark, which during that era was the main stage for letting out aggression or kicking it with your best buds by grabbing your board for an afternoon or late night shred session. Scattered throughout the collection are various articulations of acid wash denim such as tie-dye, dip-dye, and the splatter effect in vibrant or faded hues. For all things denim from vests, jeans, button ups, and most notably the jackets, this is the collection worth taking a second glance. Worn with a tee, flannel, or your favorite black Docs, the versatility is truly endless.
