Creating genderless fashion has always been the focal point for XIWI. Incorporating inventive cutting techniques, the Taiwanese brand investigates captivating concepts in order to produce thought provoking garments. This season, XIWI developed its aesthetic, undertaking research on the effects of drug use. Illusion imagery was turned into digital and screen printed motifs while relevant words such as ‘anxiety, confusion and panic’ were stitched onto some key pieces. In contrast to last season’s neutral tones, black prevails for autumn/winter. Fine ribbed knits and raw-edged denim have formed staple garments with elongated silhouettes which are layered upon one another for an effortless feel.
