Greek designer Hera Limniotaki released her brand new spring/summer 2013 collection ‘Breath of Life’ under her label H-ēra in this year’s Athens Xclusive Designers Week and Chasseur was there to report it.
Drawing inspiration from a modern nomad – lifestyle, the new collection offers a new take on the concept of ethnic clothing with modern lines and translucent fabrics. From emerald to lime through to tangerine and burgundy, the clothes were all bathed in rich shades of orange, a colour which symbolizes zest and energy – the same kind that could be found throughout the show.
What really brought everything together though, was the models. Barefoot, under the rhythmic sounds of a sole tribal drum, they managed to steal everyone’s attention with their seductive, slow-paced walking and glaring eyes- exhuming pure femininity and mysticism.
Nothing strange to those familiar with Hera as the young designer is known for the quality of her shows – for which she has even been awarded with the ‘Best Catwalk’ award on last year’s Designers Week.
