A pink crane swoops into a white sky above a landscape of exotic plants and dark earth. This is the artistic world of Pakistani artist Maha Ahmed whose work explores the relationship between the self and the other through the creation of mythical visual narratives. For her latest solo show entitled A Place That Cannot Be, the artist presents a new series of intricate miniature paintings, mediating on our current experiences of isolation as we reshape ourselves and the world around us.
The exhibition will take place at the Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery from August 6th to September 5th.
