Season after season and fashion weeks after fashion weeks, it’s been getting very clear that the future of fashion has arrived. Designers are keen on producing sophisticated collections with the “fresh” factor playing crucial role in the equation of success. And even though some designers nail it, most seem to have neglected that it’s all about ‘having fun’ these days. That’s exactly what the italian new designer, Domenico Cioffi did with ‘Sweet Cherief’ for S/S 2014; a collection that your ten-year-old self couldn’t wait to wear and your current 20-something-year-old self well.. can’t wait to own. It’s not only the dreamy pale pink and blue, or the fuzzy neck furs or even the outwordly holographic sherrif stars. It’s the impeccable tailoring that bonds together all the details that make us go crazy. Other fun facts about this super bold collection is Cioffi’s different inspiration points such as Wes Anderson’s teenage love adventure ‘Moonrise Kindom’ from which Cioffi borrowed the pink and blue color palette, Sol Lewitt’s geometry as well as Jeff Koons’s collages which were also cleverly incorporated into the designs, earning it its playful status.
