Picture the last supper; an epic tale of a modest king who lived over 2000 years ago. Modest yet respected, never extravagantly adorned or decorated, yet so memorable he left an impact on every one he met. Euphorik is certainly not far off from this. Showcase in the heart of Mayfair, London, Alexander Leimbach has created an eclectic mix of traditionally cut pieces, each with its own modern twist.
Originally of German background, he seems to have taken inspiration for his collections from the various cities he has both visited and resided in. From London to Moscow and Barcelona, he is both well travelled and full to the brim with enough adventurous spirit to produce such well thought out, excellent made pieces.
Set in an intimate showroom with a live band, a good selection of beverages and a friendly crowd, everything from vivid, religious scenes to vaulted cathedral ceilings and monochrome stained glass were used to as reference for his collection. Despite this being his first time delving into the use of print, he has definitely made it work. Matching, printed trouser suits, metallics and jersey vest tops were just a few of the pieces available to view. Along with his latest seasonal pieces, Alexander took the liberty of including his pattern pieces into the showcase. His efforts have proved that the simple touches have the biggest impact. From the Gothic to fashion cultism, this menswear collection needs more than a glance.
