Entitled ‘Resistant’, the AW15 offering of Matthew Miller, features other than giant zippers with the collection’s title hanging as a tag, impeccably tailored designs that showcase his avid taste for minimalism. That being said, Miller did not lose the opportunity to surprise us yet again with his creative choices. Trousers were turned inside out for a more rough-look while many tops were treated to fringe finishings, essentially feeling a little less British and a lot more Native American. The real surprise however came in the form of colour. Known for his strictly monochrome palette that usually revolves around shades of black and white, we were delighted to see a few tops in burgundy, a deux-pi èces in coral red and three complete outfits in midnight blue. Unpredictable while keeping true to his identity as a designer, Matthew Miller gets a thumps up again this season.
