Lee Roach is another of our most anticipated designers, a talented young man who too often flies under the London menswear radar, in comparison to his more flamboyant peers. Roach has carved a niche for himself as an austere minimalist, who particularly excels at somberly intelligent design, and so it was a surprise move by the designer this season; venturing into completely new territory with a collection that echoed 90’s sportswear, and logo hype. Whilst Roach’s collection worked for what it was, and retained much of his signature minimalism, we hope to see the designer return to the severer aesthetic upon which he has built his reputation thus far. As the saying goes; “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”.
