Unisex collections tend to come with a sense of reserve about them. Are there really that many pieces that both sexes can easily wear without looking out of place? Thankfully, the new collection from Odeur dispels those notions and delivers a range of attire that you and your other half will want to be wearing.
Founded by Petter Hollstrom in Stockholm in 2006, the brand began as an experiment – using a specific white light and clean scent instead of a visual logo design to create a graphic and dramatic style that was playful at the same time. A small initial range has expanded into selling in over 20 locations, denim, footwear, accessories and menswear. Inspiration comes from a variety of sources – music, contemporary art, and architecture and film references.
While the brand AW collection was all about structure and proportion, the silhouette has been loosened up somewhat for spring (just as it should be). In keeping with the trend for all things oversized, T shirts come in longer lengths and the same can be said for the elegant shirting and knitwear. Sporty, street but with an emphasis on tailoring too, the crisp and well cut black jackets look great when teamed with biker boots and jersey shorts. The highlights are without a doubt the mesh and print bombers though – padded for exaggerated sleeves and shoulders and in super wearable shades of navy and camo green. As New York street style as you can possibly get.
