Presenting ‘Unknown Heroine’, a UK debut from Croatian Artist Sanja Iveković, the South London Gallery in conjunction with Calvert 22 are collaborating on a project to showcase her work of which spans four decades of civil unrest. As a retrospective the exhibition, curated by Lina Džuverović, will be spread across the two venues. The exhibition introduces Iveković’s work, which includes many mediums and avenues of exploration: collage, film, installation and performance. Throughout her work, Iveković explores notions of a feminist nature and tackles many common issues that we now face in the western world such as consumerism, female identity and the neglect of our history and roots as a society. Created across a period of four decades, the backdrop of political, social and cultural unrest is evident throughout her work. Due to be seen as of the 14th of December, admission is free.
