Who knew that fishermen were so stylish? The new collection from Vinti Andrews features nets, sharks and sailor stripes galore and is something of homage to the chic sailor boy. The London based label is the result of a collaboration between designers Vinti Tan and Paul Andrews. After graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2001, the designers worked with Vivienne Westwood and Kim Jones and then both started to develop their own line, with a focus on electronic music and to reflect their British heritage in the design process.
The spring/ summer 2015 collection features intricate cutting patterns and a slick and elegant edge. What started as tracksuits, has now emerged as a full range which has an athletic appeal. Mostly black, white and navy many of the pieces feature mesh and hood details, which also lend to the fishermen vibes. Taking this further, is the fish prints and a super desirable shark bag.
