Kielo; has caught our attention ever since we first laid eyes on its beautifully crafted designs. Always keen on supporting emerging talent, it wasn’t long till we decided to find out more about the creative minds behind the Japanese label and so in our last issue we featured an exclusive interview with Yuta Yajima and Erika Mizuno where we discussed everything from their humble beginnings to the creative process behind their signature style and plans for the future. Taking things a step further, together with the designers, we created a moodboard for the visual campaign of the AW14 offering; and here we get to present to you the end result. Set in an industrial space, the story entitled “MAD ( ) MEN” draws inspiration from the lifestyle during the 1960s in the United States. Visually stimulating in a very playful manner, both the video and the lookbook channel the era’s rebellious spirit, perfectly captured by Sen Mitsuji’s lens.
