After spending a childhood in the Canary Islands, Pep Trapiello found his way into Madrid where he completed a degree in fashion design. However, it wasn’t until he moved to Amsterdam that he was really able to unfold his full potential.
Inspired by volumetric theories of spaces and fabric overlays and focused on design that knows no gender barriers, Trapiello creates garments that make strong statements all while remaining highly minimal in nature. That is achieved through the use of architectural shapes that compliment both the male and female body equally without ever losing their unisex identity. An interesting mix’n’match of solid as well as more transparent fabrics also brings something unique to the table, marking this Spring/Summer collection as a brilliant debut for this young designer.
