In Astari Nite skies sing of dream catchers. The sound of several expendable tones and melodies, Astari Nite brings the audible ear to an Ego Death of epiphany. The band boasts a dark, crystalline sheen—courtesy of The Cure, Depeche Mode and New Order. Having the honor of sharing life experiences with these fellows, one is left with treasures. Instrumentally natural, theatrical and encompassing in their stance, this sound is something I would never dismay. A New Wave Post Dark band based out of South Florida the founding members comprise of Mychael Ghost (Vocals), Albert Grey (Guitar) and Illia Tulloch (Drums/Keys) Miquell Monch Sallons (Bass). Since the fall of 2007, they have headlined numerous shows and opened for national acts such as Assemblage 23, Modern English, Andy Rourke of The Smiths, Apoptygma Berzerk and Stars, among many others. 2010 saw the release of their self-titled debut featuring the single and full length video “True Romance”, followed by “Astrid” off of their 2011 EP release Requiem Mass. Their single “Waves” was released in 2012 as a teaser for their first full length album slated for the spring of 2013.
