A place where the most unique individuals, or better said, the rouges of the creative world, come and call this place home even if only for a short while. The Fountain Art Fair, founded back in 2006 by David Kesting, John Leo, and Lincoln Capla, has been growing rapidly in popularity. Originally, its purpose was to help support independent galleries, collectives, and artists who were in pursuit of a larger audience. Not only has the Fountain Art Fair been achieving these initial goals, but it has grown into a true celebration of out of the box, and urban culture. It welcomes the idea of ‘different’ with open arms and shows its audience members the future of contemporary art. The lineup for this year will be nothing short of breathtaking with over 50 exhibitors all around the globe, from New York to Japan.
Number of applications for this year exceeded those of the 2012 art fair. If interested in showcasing pieces in the Fountain Art Fair there is still time. Our friends from the Hangar Art Gallery are offering artists a digital installation at the fair, or the option of shipping pieces to be set up in micro booths.
