Ali Abdulrahim, the founder of London-based label MAI GIDAH, has created a new line for AW17 that has less to do with marketing driven storytelling and more with the actual design process. The designer decided to take a step back in time and actually focus on some old-fashioned techniques that have gone out of style due to the more labour-intense nature as well as the need for faster fashion. This concept also comes to life through prints on some of the pieces where one can see several aspects of a tailor’s life. Below you can have a look at the array of pieces offered including some very creative outerwear.
