Paris based Korean designer, Yvette Yang has managed to create an ingenious form of typography made of different fashion trends over the past 5 years. The project was first brought to life in 2007 engraved with the concept, “image is message.” Yang always keeps her concept in mind when creating the new fonts so that her work yields to be more visually attractive and meaningful. This artists certainly deserves a round of applause due to the fact that she does all this fantastic collage work by hand. She spends countless hours experimenting with different fragments and colors in hopes to find matches that harmonize together to create a serendipitous collection of fonts. The pieces themselves are not meant to function as a font; instead each letter is created to share a message about the trends of each season. Yang provides us with a conceptual view on fashion while recording the history of all its past trends.
