Parisian menswear brand Sad Walli, originally created by French designer Walid Saldi; highlights sophistication, sharp tailoring and a detail/delicacy which is often neglected within the designer representation of ‘masculinity’. Not shy of experimenting with shape, form and an architectural representation, Sad Walli is symbolic of innovation in the most complimentary way.
The heavily draped and chrome tones showcased within the garments in the latest collection- Church, are a grungy interpretation of the current menswear suit and shirt designs that we have often seen within the 13/14 catwalk. However, the intricacy and tailoring are what distinguishes the brand as individual, simplistic but effectively ‘sharp’. This specific collection is complimented with an architectural and ‘gothic’ lookbook which helps to add perspective to the garments and undoubtedly explain the collections title.
Cleverly and most notably, the brand claims to own a specific mechanism which can tailor and morph the garments into one another- still managing to successfully create diverse and bold designs.
