The world of House music is welcoming its newest member, DJ Sebjak! The Swedish DJ is taking countless events by storm as his music brings out the best moods in all sorts of audiences. His last remix EP, entitled ‘Follow Me’, featured a main room progressive sound which helped him gain support from the likes of Pete Tong and Nicky Romero. With his recent signing to the leading EDM label Ultra Records, Sebjak gave Chasseur an inside look on his future plans.
How long have you been affiliated with the world of House music?
Since 2005 & 2006 when I went from trance to house, and found Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso’s ealy tracks.
Being a DJ has certainly grown into a form of art all on its own. What would you say makes your art stand out from the rest?
I always have those extra edits/new tracks that people have never heard before. That form of exclusivity is what really brings out the animal from the crowds.
Has it been difficult to adjust to the quick rise in popularity?
Just fun! I love to work and the reward is all the appreciation that comes from my fans, its all goes hand in hand.
Being signed with Ultra Records presents you and your music with extraordinary opportunities. Would you mind sharing how you managed to grab hold of such opportunity?
It’s just hard work actually, no big secret. I am super happy to work with them, and we have really big plans for the future! Watch out.
Are there any fellow DJ’s you would like to potentially work with on some new tracks?
I would love to do a track with Chocolate Puma! I always play at least two of their tracks in my DJ sets. They are one of my favorite producers right now.
Do you have a favorite track from your EP “Follow Me”?
I would have to say the Jerry Rekonius remix. That track always does amazing in clubs.
What do you hope people feel when they listen to your mixes?
I hope my tracks bring out good emotions and hopefully get people in their best mood.
What can we expect from your upcoming album?
For my album, I’m working on a more uptempo Indie vibe, many live instruments and amazing singers. There will be something extra!
