From the brilliantly executed designs to the sharp tailoring, the Spring Summer 14’ line of Digitaria serves as a testament that Greek fashion is still going strong despite the not so favourable current socio-economic situation of the country. The new offering features an array of vests, jackets, button downs, tailored shorts and trousers along with a few jumpsuits and blouses. All designs share a certain loose form which juxtaposes with the details of architectural nature such as the geometric cuts and pleats that the designer has intentionally added for that extra punch to the overall minimal styling. Colour wise the new line sees Eleftheria Arapoglou’s return to her signature monochromatic aesthetic after an AW 13’ collection invaded by mutated greens and browns, with black and white dominating the entire collection in addition to some lighter shades of blue. Effortlessly fun and all around accessible while remaining cutting edge, Digitaria is definitely a brand to watch.
