As the high-street mogul that steadily leads the way, H&M has managed to reach the anticipation for its new collaboration with Alexander Wang to new heights. The constant sneak-peeks from Wang’s side on the other, made the designer’s fan-base go ballistic every single time. And as the days went painfully by, the collection’s lookbook finally arrived. From what we’ve seen so far, Wang’s pieces for H&M were in line with the designer’s philosophy and overall on the sporty side of a somewhat Nordic minimalism. Now, the lookbook presented the man and the woman of this collaboration in full glory: a fashion commando, ready to hit everywhere from the gym to the club with slouchy leather-like pants, scuba dresses, reptile-printed anoraks and fast-drying fabrics. Yesterday night, the collection made its global runway debut at the Armory on the Hudson in New York, giving a generous dose of what will follow up on November 6th in 250 worldwide H&M stores and online.
