Kim and Pliny are the creative minds behind the brilliant design of menswear label, BodyBound. The aim of the label is to capture a youthful spirit of London coupled with a sense of ingenuity. After launching the brand back in 2012, the two were selected by Yohji Yamamoto as finalists of the Hyeres Awards. Kim, having graduated from Central Saint Martins, worked under Alexander McQueen and afterwards returned to study Menswear at the Royal College of Art. Pliny had received extensive training as a photographer in New York and London— he fills the collection with graphic sensitivity. Their newest collection, entitled Solaris, offers a futuristic design with retro influences. Colors stay within a white palette with splashes of oranges. The featured bodysuits contain intricate details with pockets, zippers, buckles, and toggle cords. The collection even hints at street wear influences with its hooded jackets and bomber jackets.
