Limi Feu’s collection for the Fall 2013 season finds the models in an industrious fashion world of surrealism, a setting where Japanese high fashion meets contemporary concepts. The loobook of mostly dark and cool fabric contains many elements found in Japanese high fashion. The black “Aladdin pants” in the collection are used by so many Japanese designers, but we just can’t get enough of them! They are every bit as fashionable now as they were six seasons ago. The yellow and black striped “Aladdin pants” add a really nice touch, giving us a little something different. Feu also makes use of the “layers upon layers” trend, a style in which layers are added to already finished looks. It can be seen throughout the collection, with jackets layered over jumpsuits, and knitted sweaters layered over dresses. There is no room for minimalism in this collection! And throughout the fashion narrative are touches of Japanese materials, such as the robe jacket, “Hakama” pants and Gothic Lolita dresses.
