A Sibling show is always one in which the designers have gleefully let their imagination run wild, and in turn enables you – the viewer, to do just the same. Sibling’s pink ladies were oh so pretty in punk for AW15; modern day Molly Ringwalds (how Molly really wanted to express herself deep down inside), Blondie on their Walkmans, flaunting their teen Queen rebellion down the catwalk in a quintessentially British fashion. Sibling turned a definitive 80’s look on its head, giving it a relevance for the present whilst maintaining the homage. Intricate cobweb knits, shiny latex and brash furs, slouchy off the shoulder sweaters and skinny scarves, in a neon sherbet palette with plenty of mandatory black thrown in, and all heavily embellished. Refreshing in a season that very much drew from the Seventies, Sibling’s bubblegum take on the punk aesthetic is one that we will no doubt see trickle down into the style zeitgeist come Autumn.
