Those lucky to be in Athens, Greece on May the ninth will have the opportunity to attend the opening event of SIILK GALLERY, a new art space founded by curator and visual artist Daniel Peace with the hope of offering more visibility to the work of under-represented artists within the traditional system. The Gallery is located in the very heart of Athens, Exarcheia, a neighborhood known for its edgy, alternative scene that serves as a sanctuary to free-spirited and open-minded individuals. These are the values and aesthetics that SIILK stands for and during the opening night attendees will have the chance to explore a neat selection of works from all around the world that fully represent the underground movement in all its beautiful glory.
