Music and fashion go hand in hand and have done for decades. The AW14 collection from Swedish designer Mirja Rosendahl seamlessly combines these two worlds. The collection is the fourth menswear showing for the label and draws on influences from music subcultures – specifically Michael Jackson and punk bands like Bauhas and The Cure. As with many menswear collections for Autumn, the combination of sports and tailoring is a constant. The punk/ pop sources are refined into highly wearable traditional wools, technical nylons and of special mention, the mohair knitwear. These pieces feature detailing like sequins, studs and elastic bondage straps. Outerwear is really strong and the red, wool bomber has the ability to become a must have item. The best selling album of all time, Thriller by Michael Jackson is paid homage to, by the release date of 30.11.1982 appearing on embroidery and print.
