Orange Culture is a progressive label that combines elements borrowed from African heritage and the West with truly exceptional results. For Spring/Summer 2017 the designer Adebayo Oke-Lawal focused on themes of adolescent rejection and asked the question; if those rejected had a uniform, what would it be? The answer comes in the form of loose silhouettes, sheer fabrics, slightly feminine cuts, a rich colour palette and prints, many prints. What’s notable about the new offering is also the designer’s attention to detail which involves everything from the choice of fabrics, done locally at Lagos, to the creative addition of matching accessories and original shoes.
