The present resembles the past; the past resembles the present. For Ukrainian designer Sasha Kanevski Kiev takes it up a notch. In the spring-summer 2013 collection, Kiev takes cues from Kubrick’s 2001 and Mary Quant’s design showroom–all with ultra-modern slick silhouettes. Notable pieces from the women as well as men’s collection include holographic gathered peplums skirts, clear lucite hats, classy beaded collars, and ombre checkered suits. The collection certainly had interchangeable pieces that pratically chameleon into every time period.
