UNDERCOVER is one of the most on-demand Japanese brands in fashion right now and its AW15 offering pretty much explains why; all pieces featured are highly innovative, wearable and saturated in an array of colour and print. The collection was inspired by an interesting mix of references with the strongest being the nostalgia of old horror films and the visual arts of the romantic age. Illustrations of William Blake, the English poet and painter make their appearance on certain pockets and backs of jackets while other details include a hand with pointy nails and some discreet texts here and there. Each season designer Jun Takahashi success in producing modern pieces that lie somewhere between a sporty and urbane aesthetic through a combination of straight and more contemporary silhouettes. That is most evident in the brand’s long trench coats, fishtail parkas, bomber jackets, printed sweaters and skinny trousers. Below you can have a look at the entire range.
